A Month in Poland
The Mieroszewski Centre’s “A Month in Poland” scholarship programme offers researchers from Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Russia a unique opportunity. It supports their exploration and documentation of Central and Eastern Europe’s rich history, complex political landscape, vibrant culture, and diverse heritage.
This program welcomes applications from individuals collaborating with academics, experts, or think tanks, provided they have demonstrable research experience. Doctoral students without a PhD, but with research output, are also eligible. The scholarship includes various research methodologies, such as interviews, surveys, and archival or library research. Successful applicants receive a one-month stipend of PLN 6500.
Research in Poland
This programme supports international researchers exploring the history, political climate, culture, and heritage of Central and Eastern European populations. Eligible applicants include foreign nationals with established research credentials who collaborate with academic, expert, or analytical institutions and intend to conduct research within Poland.
Doctoral candidates engaged in relevant programmes, even without a completed doctorate, are also welcome to apply for our research scholarship. Grants are available for periods ranging from three to nine months, with a monthly stipend of PLN 6500.
Research in Ukraine
This initiative fosters international academic collaboration, particularly between Poland and Ukraine. Ukrainian citizens actively pursuing research within Ukraine, despite the war, in fields such as history, culture, social sciences, and other humanities disciplines are eligible.
The programme’s annual thematic focus reflects current research challenges and needs. The three-month scholarship provides a monthly stipend of PLN 6500. Applications, which can be completed in Polish or Ukrainian, must be submitted exclusively via the online application generator at stypendium.mieroszewski.pl.
